Watch: Ronaldo wears Arabic ‘thobe’ for Saudi National Day

Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane have clearly settled into their new lives in Saudi Arabia, with the Al-Nassr stars donning traditional Saudi attire alongside their teammates in a new video. Ronaldo has been credited for influencing other stars to move to the Saudi Pro League, with the likes of Mane, Neymar Jr., and others joining him in the Middle East in the summer.

In a video uploaded by Al-Nassr on their official page on X (formerly Twitter) to showcase the team and the culture, the two superstars were seen wearing a thobe with the caption “All together. For one flag. We Dream, and Achieve”.

The short was for celebration of the Saudi National Day, September 23.

There was a huge hue and cry when Messi was dressed in the traditional Arab cloak presented by Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, moments before the Football World cup trophy was handed over following the final. It is a prestigious statement garment and was given to Messi to honor the Argentina captain.

The thobe is usually worn on special occasions such as weddings.
