Language of music defines cultural diversity, intellectual harmony: Sheikha Jawaher

Sharjah: H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, inaugurated the Rubu’ Qarn Music Centre in Sharjah, alongside Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of The American University of Sharjah (AUS). This event signifies Sharjah’s dedication to fostering talent and promoting national identity through the arts.

The center provides a vibrant space for students to learn musical skills through individual and group lessons, musical lectures, talent competitions, and performances. It also offers pathways to prestigious international certifications from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and Trinity College.

During her visit, Sheikha Jawaher observed various teaching methods and explored the center’s facilities, including music classrooms, ballet studios, and concert halls, all designed to provide an exceptional educational experience. She emphasized music’s role in building promising generations and fostering cultural exchange.

Furat Qaddouri, Executive Director of the Rubu’ Qarn Music Centre, highlighted its aim to enhance cultural identity and contribute to Sharjah’s status as a global arts hub. The center’s programs aim to develop critical thinking and creative skills, supporting educational institutions and fostering a generation of researchers and thinkers.

Future plans include specialized programs in music technology, sound engineering, vocal performance, and instrument craftsmanship workshops, led by global experts. The center welcomes participants of all ages, encouraging self-expression through art and music to build character and confidence.
