National Programme for Coders, Samsung partner to empower UAE youth with digital skills through Galaxy AI Pioneers programme

DUBAI: The National Programme for Coders and Samsung Gulf Electronics have launched registration for the Galaxy AI Pioneers training programme, aimed at UAE nationals and residents aged 12-17. This initiative introduces young people to the exciting field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and follows the success of the Samsung Innovation Campus at the UAE AI Camp 2024.

The Galaxy AI Pioneers programme will run from 23rd September to 15th December 2024, featuring three age-based classes delivered in a hybrid format. The curriculum covers essential topics like AI and Python basics, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, AI robotics, natural language processing, and the ethical aspects of AI. Students will also work with Samsung Galaxy AI applications and create their own AI projects through a capstone experience.

Classes will combine virtual sessions with in-person meetings at Coders HQ in Dubai. Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Mahmoud emphasized that this partnership with Samsung reflects the UAE’s commitment to enhancing its position in AI innovation. The programme aims to equip the youth with hands-on experience in advanced AI technologies, helping them understand both technical skills and the ethical implications of AI.

Shafi Alam from Samsung highlighted the programme’s goal of fostering innovation and technological literacy among the youth, preparing them for an AI-driven future. The programme will also include guest lectures from experts and academics, providing insights into real-world AI applications and potential career paths in technology.
