This day in history we feature, the original Legoland park, Legoland Billund Resort, which opened on this day in 1968 in Billund, Denmark.
Trivia – Legoland Theme Park
The park is located next to the original Lego factory, and since its opening, more than fifty million guests have visited the park. The Legoland parks that have since been built are modelled upon Legoland Billund, most noticeably the Miniland area, which is made up of millions of plastic Lego bricks.

Legoland Dubai is the first Legoland theme park in the Middle East and was the seventh Lego-based park worldwide. The park offers a variety of rides and activities, and like many other Legoland theme parks, Dubai has its very own Miniland where over twenty million Lego bricks are used to create 15,000 miniature models of different landmarks and structures around the world.
