The number of benefiting businesses is expected to increase to 150 by the end of 2026, across Ajman, Umm Al Qaiwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah. Industrial establishments under this program enjoy discounts ranging from 10 to 26 percent per kilowatt-hour, with a maximum charge of 26 fils per kilowatt-hour for factories with monthly consumption exceeding 10,000 megawatt-hours.

Introduced during the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ Forum in 2024, this initiative supports the UAE’s National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology. It aims to create an attractive investment environment, stimulate growth, and promote sustainable development.

Beyond financial savings, the initiative helps industrial companies reduce operational and production costs, enhancing their competitiveness in local and global markets. It also provides additional incentives, such as flexible installation and network connection fees, allowing customers to either spread these costs across their monthly payments or pay upfront at a 20 percent discount. Furthermore, customers in this category are exempt from insurance fees and will not incur extra charges for meter usage.
