UAE exchanges MoUs for collaborations with India at Global Summit

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi witnessed the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening collaboration between the two nations. The exchange occurred during His Highness’ working visit to India in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

The agreements cover various areas:

• Memorandum of Understanding for investment cooperation in the development of food complexes.
• Memorandum of Understanding for investment cooperation in renewable energy.
• Memorandum of Understanding for investment cooperation in innovative healthcare.
• Memorandum of Understanding on establishing sustainable, green, and efficient ports.

Representing the UAE, the MOUs were exchanged by Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment, and Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman and CEO of DP World. India was represented by Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs; Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Health and Family Welfare; Pashupati Kumar Paras, Minister of Food Processing Industries; and Rajkumar Beniwal, Vice Chairman and CEO of the Indian Administrative Service.

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan joined the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in India after being invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The summit, happening in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, brings together leaders, officials, and business professionals from around the world.

During his talk at the summit, President Sheikh Mohamed thanked Prime Minister Modi for the invite and praised the summit for being an important place for people to share ideas about making economies grow and investing money.

He also appreciated Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel for his thoughtful words at the start of the event. President Sheikh Mohamed said, “It’s nice to be here with our friends from India and all over the world, working together to find ways for our people and countries to do well and move forward.”

He thanked everyone involved in the event and wished for its success in bringing cooperation, development, and prosperity to everyone.
