The UAE faces five days of possible rain, strong winds reaching 50 km/h, blowing dust and morning fog until November 1, with northern and eastern areas most likely to see showers
DUBAI: The UAE is set to experience unsettled weather from Wednesday, October 28, until Sunday, November 1, with possible rainfall, strong winds and blowing dust across several regions.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), convective clouds could develop over northern, eastern and southern areas, bringing scattered showers. Winds may reach 50 km/h during stronger cloud activity, temporarily reducing visibility.
Rain and Strong Winds Expected Across UAE
On Wednesday, rainfall remains possible across northern, eastern and southern regions. Wind speeds could reach 50 km/h in mountainous areas and 45 km/h inland.
Thursday may bring further showers across northern and eastern areas, extending into some inland locations. Strong winds could again reach 50 km/h.
From Friday through Sunday, rainfall chances will concentrate mainly over eastern regions. Winds may gradually ease to 40 km/h on Friday and 35 km/h during the weekend.
Fog, Dust and Recent Hail Reports
Humidity will increase overnight, creating conditions for fog or mist across coastal and inland areas, particularly during early mornings.
Strong winds could lift dust and reduce visibility, affecting motorists travelling through exposed areas.
Rain and hail were reported in Fujairah and parts of Sharjah on October 19. However, the latest five-day forecast does not specifically predict further hail.
Temperatures could reach 39°C inland, 37°C along coastal areas and 32°C in mountainous regions.
Impact to Expect
Residents should prepare for changing weather conditions, particularly during afternoon cloud development and early morning fog. Motorists should drive cautiously when visibility drops, while outdoor workers and travellers should monitor official NCM updates.
Rainfall is expected to remain localised rather than affecting every emirate continuously. Sea conditions should remain generally slight throughout the forecast period.
