ABU DHABI: UAE airspace security was confirmed as stable on April 9, 2026, with the Ministry of Defence stating that no aerial threats were detected during the past hours. The UAE airspace security update confirmed that no ballistic missiles, cruise missiles or unmanned aerial vehicles were launched towards the country.
Officials said the latest assessment reflects a temporary pause in hostile activity, following weeks of sustained regional tensions. The UAE airspace security status indicates that defence systems remain fully operational and vigilant despite the absence of new threats.
Since the beginning of the attacks, UAE air defence systems have intercepted a total of 537 ballistic missiles, 26 cruise missiles and 2,256 UAVs. Authorities highlighted that these figures demonstrate the scale of ongoing defence operations and preparedness.
No new injuries were recorded during the recent period, keeping the total number of injured at 224. The affected individuals include residents of various nationalities, reflecting the diverse population across the UAE.
Authorities also confirmed that no new fatalities were reported in the past hours. Since the onset of the attacks, two members of the armed forces have been martyred, along with a Moroccan civilian contracted with the Armed Forces. Civilian fatalities remain at 10, involving multiple nationalities.
The Ministry of Defence reiterated its commitment to maintaining UAE airspace security and ensuring the protection of the country’s sovereignty and residents. Officials stressed that defence systems remain ready to respond to any potential escalation.
The update provides reassurance as authorities continue to monitor the situation closely amid evolving regional developments.
