Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid issues Decree on Board of Dubai Women Establishment

Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in his role as the Ruler of Dubai, has issued Decree No. (39) of 2024 to establish the Board of Directors for the Dubai Women Establishment (DWE).

The newly formed Board is chaired by Mona Ghanem Al Marri, who serves as the Managing Director of DWE, with Hala Badri as Vice Chairperson. Other members include Huda Al Hashimi, Huda Buhumaid, Khawla Al Muhairi, Fahima Al Bastaki, Moaza Saeed Al Marri, Khadija Al Bastaki, and the CEO of DWE.

H.H. Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of DWE, expressed gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for his unwavering support in empowering Emirati women to play pivotal roles in the nation’s advancement. She congratulated the new Board members and acknowledged the contributions of the previous Board.

Sheikha Manal highlighted the deep expertise of the Board members, emphasizing their role in advancing Emirati women’s participation in the economy and society. This aligns with DWE’s strategy to position Dubai as a global model for women-friendly cities, reflecting the UAE leadership’s vision.

Since its establishment in 2006, DWE has been dedicated to realizing Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision of empowering women. Sheikha Manal affirmed that DWE will continue to pursue this mission by integrating global best practices into their strategies.

The Decree is effective immediately upon issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette to inform the public of its implementation.
