DUBAI: The World Governments Summit 2025 (WGS) wraps up its three-day run in Dubai on Thursday, bringing together global leaders to shape the future of governance under the theme “Shaping Future Governments.”

The final day features keynote addresses from world leaders, including Prabowo Subianto, President of Indonesia; José Ramos-Horta, President of Timor-Leste; and Pedro Alliana Rodríguez, Vice President of Paraguay. Also speaking are Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of Bangladesh’s interim government, and Louise Araneta-Marcos, First Lady of the Philippines.

The Climate Change Forum will take centre stage, uniting scientists, policymakers, and innovators to tackle pressing climate challenges. Additionally, the fifth Global Health Forum, held in partnership with the World Health Organisation (WHO), will address global health priorities and promote innovation in healthcare.

Throughout the summit, leaders have explored global transformations, challenges, and opportunities, fostering collaborative strategies to enhance governance and international cooperation. Discussions have spanned various sectors, aiming to accelerate development and prosperity worldwide.

As WGS 2025 concludes, it leaves behind a vision for stronger governance models, innovative policymaking, and global partnerships to shape a resilient and sustainable future.
