Dubai police reunites prisoner in penal and reformist institutions with son

After witnessing the criminal and correctional facilities in Dubai Police, a convict usually draws his son in the activities carried out by the institutions because he misses him. As part of the “Isaad Nezil” project initiated by the General Administration of Penal and Reformal Institutions for Prisoners under the direction of His Highness, the Dubai Police decided to surprise the prisoner with a meeting with his son after bringing him back from his homeland.

His Highness Major General Khalil Ibrahim Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Forensic Investigation Affairs, and the team Abdullah Khalifa Al-Mari, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, are working to improve their situation while they are in prison.

Dean Marwan Gulfar, the director of the Public Administration for Penal and Reformal Institutions, claimed that the Public Administration coordinated to bring the descendant’s lone son to visit his father after learning that he was residing in another country.

Dean Galfar explained that the administration informed the hotel that he had a visitor, which surprised him because he hadn’t had anyone come to visit him while he was abroad. When he went outside to meet the visitor, his son was surprised and couldn’t believe it, too overcome with intense surprise and strong emotions.

The father and son embraced and broke down in tears. It was a very touching moment, and the circumstance touched everyone’s hearts. What a lovely surprise and what a wonderful heartfelt hug between father and son.

The boarding school education and training department, which offers educational and vocational programs, allowed Dean Gulfar to express his longing for his son through drawing and other crafts. He also indicated that the boarding had a positive reputation among his fellow prisoners despite having no knowledge of a specific profession. The staff was very cooperative, and there was a variety of activities inside the institutions for correction.

Dean Marwan Galfar underlined that one of the Dubai Police’s strategic trends in appeasing society in all of its facets has led to the keenness to activate social and humanitarian components and remove obstacles to connection between immigrants and their relatives.

The general management of penal and correctional institutions, in particular, as well as the humanitarian programs and initiatives of Dubai Police, he noted, are of paramount importance due to their positive effects on fostering mutual respect and trust between the police and the community, fostering the values of tolerance and coexistence, and directly assisting in easing the suffering of immigrants and their families.

Al-Nazil and his son congratulated the Dubai Police General Command for their amazing humanitarian effort and their desire to provide happiness to the detainees and their families, saying that he had always dreamed of this visit because prior visits with his family had been conducted by phone or remotely.
