Chartered cargo flights UAE are transporting fresh food supplies into the country as retailers boost stocks to maintain stable supplies.
ABU DHABI: Retailers are strengthening supply chains with chartered cargo flights UAE bringing fresh food products into the country to ensure supermarket shelves remain well stocked.
Retail group Lulu said it has arranged special cargo operations from India and other international sourcing markets to maintain the steady flow of food supplies into the UAE.
One cargo freighter operated by Etihad Airways recently transported around 12,000 packages of fresh produce from India to Abu Dhabi. The shipment weighed approximately 80,000 kilograms and included a variety of essential food products.
According to the company, additional shipments are already planned in the coming days as part of wider efforts to maintain food availability across stores.
Earlier, Lulu also arranged a separate shipment of around 80 tonnes of meat transported from New Delhi. Further consignments are being organised from Indian cities including Mumbai and Bengaluru, along with other international supply hubs such as Melbourne.
The chartered cargo flights UAE allow large quantities of perishable goods to be transported quickly, helping retailers keep supplies stable despite regional disruptions.
“Our priority is to ensure that families across the UAE continue to have access to fresh food and essential products without any concern,” said Yusuffali M.A., Chairman of Lulu Group.
He added that the retailer’s global sourcing and logistics network enables the company to maintain uninterrupted supplies while supporting stable prices for consumers.
Industry officials said more shipments are expected in the coming days as retailers continue to strengthen supply channels.
The continued arrival of chartered cargo flights UAE is expected to support the availability of fresh produce and essential food items across the country’s supermarkets.
