Etihad A330neo cabins bring private First suites, lie-flat Business seats and upgraded Economy as Beyond Borders reshapes the airline’s passenger experience.

DUBAI: Etihad A330neo cabins have made their world debut at Arabian Travel Market 2026, giving travellers their first look at the airline’s next generation of First, Business and Economy products under its new Beyond Borders experience.

The Abu Dhabi-based airline is using Beyond Borders to create a more consistent look and feel across aircraft, lounges, dining, amenities, wellbeing and connectivity. Its design draws inspiration from Abu Dhabi’s landscape, architecture and transformation, with the concept described as moving from “sand to superstructure”.

What will passengers find on the new A330neo?

First Class will feature just four private suites, each fitted with closing doors. Passengers will have space for a companion to dine or socialise, along with a 32-inch entertainment screen, wireless charging, personal storage and a dedicated powder station.

Business Class will offer 24 forward-facing, fully lie-flat seats. Every passenger will have direct aisle access, while sliding doors provide additional privacy. Each seat will include a 17.3-inch screen, charging options, a large table and personal storage.

The Etihad A330neo cabins will also bring upgrades to Economy. The aircraft will have 252 Economy seats equipped with bespoke fixed-wing headrests and 13.3-inch 4K touchscreens. A 32-seat Extra Legroom section will provide four additional inches of pitch.

When will the new aircraft enter service?

Etihad says its new A330s will begin entering service from September 2027. Fifteen aircraft are expected to join the fleet over five years, supporting regional and medium-haul routes where the airline sees demand for additional capacity and premium travel.

Beyond Borders will not be limited to the A330neo. Etihad is also showcasing how the new design language will extend to its A321LR across First, Business and Economy, while future aircraft and retrofit programmes will spread the concept further across the fleet.

The airline is also expanding its commitment to First Class. Its A380 will continue to offer the flagship First Apartments and The Residence, while the new A330 introduces First on another aircraft type.

Etihad is backing its broader expansion with a US$20 billion investment in aircraft and customer experience, including a US$1 billion fleet retrofit programme.

The Etihad A330neo cabins therefore represent more than a new seat design. They form part of an effort to make the airline’s premium identity more recognisable and consistent from the airport to the aircraft.
