Saadiyat Cultural District Abu Dhabi set to finish by 2025, as per DCT Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has reiterated today that Saadiyat Cultural District, along with its cultural institutions, is scheduled for completion in 2025.

Saadiyat Cultural District is a global platform, emerging from a rich cultural heritage, honoring traditions, and promoting fair culture. It is a symbol of empowerment, exhibiting museums, collections, and stories that celebrate the region’s heritage while advocating for a diverse global cultural landscape.

Upon completion, the diversity of Saadiyat Cultural District’s institutions will render the district among the most distinct cultural platforms. It is currently home to Louvre Abu Dhabi – the first universal museum in the Arab world – exhibiting artworks from diverse cultures side by side and narrating a story of human connections. Close by, Berklee Abu Dhabi offers music, performing arts, and educational programmes throughout the year.

Moreover, Manarat Al Saadiyat functions as a hub for creative artistic expression and hosts two significant initiatives in Abu Dhabi’s cultural schedule: Abu Dhabi Art and Culture Summit Abu Dhabi.

The ongoing construction progress of the soon-to-open institutions in Saadiyat Cultural District stands at 76 percent. Zayed National Museum, the UAE’s national museum, will commemorate the nation’s rich history and culture, and honor the legacy of the country’s founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Additionally, teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi welcomes visitors to a constantly changing exploration that will exceed the boundaries of their imagination.

It will be accompanied by the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, which will encompass a research and educational institution taking visitors on a 13.8 billion-year expedition through the story of our universe and our planet. Guggenheim Abu Dhabi will be a museum commemorating art from the 1960s to the present and the most significant artistic accomplishments of our time.

Saadiyat Cultural District pays tribute to the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed and continues to develop under the guidance of the late Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
