MAHABIZ Convention: Uniting Global Leaders for Sustainable Growth and Collaboration

The Gulf Maharashtra Business Forum Global (GMBF) hosted a two-day convention MAHABIZ in Dubai on February 24th and 25th, 2024, with the theme of “Connect, Expand, and Grow.”

The event attracted prominent personalities, businessmen, local and international leaders, ministers, and politicians. The first day emphasized the potential of startups in the Middle East and opportunities in African nations.

A panel discussion featuring startup experts Deepak Ahuja, Sonali Goila, Mann Midha, and Nilmani Gautam explored navigating the GCC startup landscape. They highlighted the region’s opportunities and challenges, concluding that the Middle East offers a promising ecosystem for startups.

International delegates from various countries, including Japan, Ethiopia, Rwanda, UAE, South Africa, and Cango, shared insights and business prospects in green energy, crypto, and mining. Dr. Nitin Seth, Vice Chairman of G.D. Foods, from India was presented at the convention.

Rajesh Agarwal, chairman of RKG group, described GMBF as a 15-year-old organization with over 500 members, emphasizing its familial approach and problem-solving ethos. GMBF prides itself on being a solution-oriented organization, reflecting its core philosophy.

The second day of the convention witnessed an enlightening address from Nitin Gadkari, the Indian Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, who unveiled India’s ambitious roadmap to achieve carbon neutrality by 2070. The gathering brought together global leaders and innovators to discuss sustainable development and foster economic partnerships.

Sheikha Jawaher Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa graced the event as the Chief Guest. Minister Gadkari’s virtual discourse underscored India’s remarkable progress in renewable energy and sustainability. He emphasized groundbreaking solutions like self-sustainable aviation fuel from biomass, bio-CNG production, and bamboo-based bioethanol refining. Highlighting India’s commitment to reducing carbon footprint, Gadkari stressed the pivotal role of technology, innovation, and international collaboration in realizing this ambitious vision. Gadkari acknowledged India’s rapid embrace of electric vehicles and renewable energy sources as key drivers of sustainable progress.

He also lauded India’s endeavors in organic farming, renewable energy, and infrastructure development, aligning with the overarching goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2070. Mumbai’s pivotal role in India’s economic landscape, attracting substantial domestic and international investments, was also emphasized.

Satish Kumar Sivan, the Consul General of India, echoed Gadkari’s sentiments, emphasizing the deep-rooted cultural ties between India and the UAE. He highlighted recent milestones in economic collaboration, including a significant surge in bilateral trade volume, reaching USD 85 billion in the last fiscal year. Sivan shed light on recent agreements such as the Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) and the Intergovernmental Framework Agreement on India’s Middle East Europe Economic Corridor, aimed at bolstering economic integration and cooperation across diverse sectors.

Chandrashekhar Bhatia, chairman of GBF, hailed GMBF as a unique platform supporting emerging businesses and nurturing new talents, bridging the gap between the UAE and India. Sunil Manjrekar, President of GMBF, in his address, spotlighted the organization’s innovative fundraising efforts supporting environmental and humanitarian causes.
