Monday saw a sum of recoveries in India peak and climb past the 5 million landmark, with recovered cases outpacing active ones by more than 5 times.
“India’s steady trend of posting high level of daily recoveries continues”, remarked the Indian Ministry of Health, alluding the feat to its ‘enhanced medical infrastructure, implementation of Standard Treatment Protocol and the fully committed front liners at work.’
However, despite the success, the ministry has warned the populace to adhere to strict norms of physical distancing, hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette. The use of masks in public spaces is still an absolute must.
The total cases so far have tallied at over 6 million while 5 million people have taken the road to recovery, hiking the recovery rate to 82.58 per cent.
