Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Explores World of Coffee 2024 in Dubai

Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, recently graced the third edition of the World of Coffee 2024 exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, extending until January 23. This prestigious event not only showcases the thriving coffee industry but also underscores Dubai’s pivotal role in shaping the future of global trade.

During his visit, His Highness emphasized Dubai’s commitment to excellence and innovation, consolidating its position as a key player in global trade. He highlighted the city’s emergence as the hub of international commerce and its dedication to achieving the ambitious Dubai Economic Agenda D33’s goals, aiming to raise foreign trade to AED25.6 trillion and expand global reach to 400 additional cities within the next decade.

As Dubai continues to lead in major commodities, hosting events like the World of Coffee, the city provides a platform for industries to converge, fostering new opportunities, innovations, and solutions for the sustainable growth of international trade.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, accompanied by His Excellency Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority, received a comprehensive briefing about the exhibition. The World of Coffee 2024, organized by DXB Live in collaboration with the Specialty Coffee Association, features 1,650 exhibitors, both local and international. The event includes informative lectures presented by seasoned professionals, creating a dynamic space for knowledge exchange.

This global coffee extravaganza serves as a pivotal event in the industry, with over 1,650 companies and brands showcasing a diverse range of coffee products and services. From green and roasted coffee beans to cutting-edge beverage preparation devices, roasting services, flavorings, and packaging solutions, the expo offers a comprehensive overview of the coffee sector.

Notably, the exhibition hosts 60 UAE-based companies and brands, contributing to the vibrant coffee culture in the region. Exciting events like the UAE National Barista and Latte Art Championship, the Coffee Design Awards, and the Best New Product Awards add an extra layer of excitement to the World of Coffee 2024.

As the coffee industry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region experiences continuous growth, market studies predict a substantial increase in the market value. According to Data Bridge Market Research, the coffee and Espresso drinks market in the MENA region is expected to reach approximately US$1.33 billion by 2030, reflecting a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 2.6% from 2022.
