Dubai: The UAE School Games will conclude on May 18 at Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) in Expo City Dubai, with top athletes competing. Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the event will see His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education and Chairman of the General Authority of Sports, in attendance.

Organized by the UAE School and Sports Federation with support from the General Authority of Sports, the tournament, sponsored by Etisalat E&, features 2,500 students from 350 schools. Competitions span ten disciplines including football, athletics, and swimming, aiming to foster a sporting culture among students.

Dr. Al Falasi highlighted the aim to shape Emirati champions, aligning with the National Sports Strategy 2031. The event aims to instill a sporting spirit in youth, promoting physical and mental well-being and contributing to the country’s sports sector.

Apart from intense sports, the event features a fan zone with live and e-games, catering to diverse age groups. It aims to create a vibrant atmosphere and encourage community participation in sports.

The UAE School Games aim to identify and nurture young talent, aligning with the National Sports Strategy 2031 to groom athletes for global competitions. With competitions at regional and national levels, the event promotes sports among school students, supported by various sports bodies and educational institutions.

Operated under the General Authority of Sports, the event aims to increase sports participation, develop Emirati athletes, and enhance the nation’s sporting presence globally.
