H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has launched the next phase of the ‘Dubai Future Solutions’ initiative. This new phase, named ‘Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity,’ is led by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.

This initiative aims to create and test innovative prototypes and models that can bring big changes from Dubai to the world. It’s building on the success of the past nine years of the ‘Prototypes for Humanity’ initiative, which focuses on advancing innovation to improve lives.

Recently, Sheikh Hamdan oversaw a significant partnership agreement between the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and the Hussain Sajwani – DAMAC Foundation (HSDF). HSDF pledged AED 100 million to support innovation and technology in Dubai and across the UAE, making them a key partner in this initiative.

Sheikh Hamdan mentioned that this initiative serves as a platform to support innovators worldwide, nurturing talent and creative thinkers in all future-oriented sectors. It is a crucial step toward making Dubai a global innovation hub.

H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed highlighted that the initiative will strengthen international collaborations, accelerate new technologies, and spotlight future-oriented ideas and innovations that positively impact society.

The partnership between DFF and HSDF will enhance collaborations with academic institutions, students, startups, and leading innovators worldwide. The goal is to attract global innovations to Dubai, providing a platform for showcasing work, improving communities, addressing global challenges, and turning experimental projects into successful startups.

This initiative supports innovators and startups in various sectors, creating jobs, investment opportunities, and market expansion. It helps patent innovations and turn ideas into viable companies, while providing investment opportunities for global market expansion. These goals are supported by Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Dubai Culture.

An annual event will be held at the Dubai Future District to showcase the best 100 innovations from the ‘Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity’ initiative. The top innovations will be honored during the ceremony.

DFF will support this initiative through various national programs, including the Dubai Research and Development Program and the Dubai Robotics and Automation Program. DFF will also promote entrepreneurship through AREA 2071 and the Dubai Future Accelerators (DFA), highlighting promising projects and talents.

This builds on the success of the ‘Prototypes for Humanity’ initiative, which has showcased hundreds of innovative projects from over 10,000 applications submitted by students from more than 700 universities worldwide. Supported by founding partners like Dubai Culture, DIFC, A.R.M Holding, and the Investment Corporation of Dubai, the initiative received over 2,800 project submissions last year alone, covering more than 200 research fields.
