You can now get your UAE visa via video calls

Dubai: You can now complete residency-related transactions in Dubai via video calls without having to visit customer happiness service centres.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA-Dubai) has launched the service recently allowing anyone to send documents and complete residency-related application procedures by using this new technology.

This service enables people, from within the UAE and outside of the country, to chat directly with government employees via their mobile phones.

The service can be reached through the Amer service number on 8005111, as well as the GDRFA website and the mobile app. Any device that supports a front camera can be used to complete the process.

GDRFA’s new video call service covers all services, including residence visas, golden visas, financial claims, legal advice, entry permit services, as well as issuances and renewals of electronic passports.

Through Dubai’s new video call service, customers can submit documents to GDRFA within five minutes.

According to the GDRFA officials, the department aims to achieve a “zero visit” goal.
