Free parking subscriptions announced for some residents in Sharjah

Some Sharjah residents will be qualified for cost-free parking subscriptions. The Sharjah Municipality unveiled a new program on Thursday that will make parking easier for hardworking individuals and foster a more welcoming and accessible environment in public areas.

Individuals who possess subscription cards issued by recognized authorities may use this service to access free public parking and virtually connect it to the parking system. By putting in place this virtual connecting procedure, qualified people can easily access their parking benefits without having to physically place the card on their car’s windshield.

By removing the requirement that customers physically visit the municipality office, the government has made the procedure more user-friendly. Now, eligible people can complete the entire process online.

The following are the documentation required to access complimentary parking passes:

• Valid Emirates ID
• Vehicle Ownership Card
• Disability Card

• Enter smart and electronic services
• Select public parking services
• Apply for the disabled parking permit and submit the required documents
