Taylor Swift, who is perhaps the biggest popstar in the world, has an enormous fan following around the world. Because of this, when her concert in Seattle triggered seismic activity, it didn’t come as a shocker to many people.

Swifties dancing during the star’s Eras concert, combined with the roaring music resulted in seismic activity that was comparable to a 2.3-magnitude earthquake. The event was recorded by seismologist Jackie Caplan-Auerbach.

The event has also been compared to a similar occasion where fans cheered a touchdown by Marshawn “Beast Mode” Lynch. Nevertheless, according to Caplan-Auerbach, the Swifties generated twice as much movement as the “Beast quake.”

This, according to the seismologist, was caused by the shorter duration of fan cheering for a single play. Additionally, Swifties would have been dancing at the Eras performance and there would have been very loud music, both of which have an impact on the seismic activity.
