The UAE Pavilion drew over five million visitors at Expo 2025 Osaka, becoming the most visited national pavilion and earning global acclaim.

OSAKA: The UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka has officially concluded its run as the most visited national pavilion, attracting over five million visitors across six months. With a theme of “Earth to Ether,” the Pavilion served as a global symbol of innovation, culture, and collaboration, highlighting the UAE’s vision for the future.

From April to October 2025, the Pavilion welcomed 4.9 million in-person guests and over 130,000 online participants, creating a multisensory experience celebrating Emirati heritage, sustainability, and global cooperation. Its architecture merged Emirati and Japanese design, while exhibits and programmes bridged tradition with technology.

UAE Ambassador to Japan, H.E. Shihab Alfaheem, described the Pavilion as a “meeting point of values and aspirations,” noting the symbolic return to Osaka 55 years after the UAE’s first Expo appearance in 1970. The Pavilion became a hub for cultural exchange, hosting more than 580 VIP visits from 73 countries, including UAE leaders and Japan’s Imperial Princess Takamado.

At its core were 46 Youth Ambassadors who embodied the UAE’s future-focused spirit, leading interactions and engaging events. The Pavilion also held over 100 cultural and innovation-focused sessions with 270 speakers and 68,000 attendees.

Key partners ADNOC, PureHealth, Space42, and DCT–Abu Dhabi helped bring the Pavilion’s themes to life, showcasing solutions in energy, healthcare, space technology, and culture. Highlights included the “Explorers of Space” series, traditional Emirati crafts and culinary showcases, and forums like the Abu Dhabi Investment Forum.

The Pavilion also won several awards, including the BIE Bronze Prize for Architecture and Landscape, World Expo Award for Best Staff, and recognition for sustainable design. Its restaurant served over 250,000 meals and the retail space sold over 96,000 items, featuring sustainable and locally designed merchandise.

Beyond the visitor numbers, the Pavilion has left a lasting impression of the UAE as a nation of shared purpose and creativity. Its legacy continues to inspire global audiences with a message of unity and forward-thinking progress.
