This day in history we feature, Looney Tunes’ Taz. The Tasmanian Devil, commonly known as Taz, made his debut in Warner Bros Looney Tunes on this day in 1954.

Trivia – Looney Tunes’ Taz

Taz first appeared in the short called Devil May Hare directed by Robert McKimson. He is usually portrayed as a ferocious, albeit dim-witted, carnivore with a notoriously short temper and little patience. The character appeared in only five shorts, and got his name in the short Ducking the Devil.

He is best known for his speech consisting mostly of grunts, growls, and rasps, as well as his ability to spin like a vortex and bite through nearly anything.
