RAKEZ ended its multi-city India Roadshow by signing a major MoU with FICCI and hosting the UAE–India Start-up Series finale in New Delhi.
NEW DELHI: Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has wrapped up a successful India Roadshow led by Group CEO Ramy Jallad, covering four major cities — Pune, Chennai, Bangalore and New Delhi. The initiative brought together over 200 Indian companies to explore cross-border collaboration, highlighting RAKEZ’s strategic role in UAE–India trade under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
In collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and leading regional chambers, RAKEZ showcased Ras Al Khaimah’s business-friendly ecosystem, industrial growth opportunities and streamlined regulatory processes. Key focus sectors included manufacturing, engineering, chemicals and building materials.
A highlight of the New Delhi leg was the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding between RAKEZ and FICCI, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation. The agreement outlines joint efforts to promote business delegation exchanges, co-host events, and support knowledge-sharing platforms for Indian businesses entering the UAE market.
The roadshow also featured the grand finale of the UAE–India Start-up Series, a flagship CEPA-backed platform to promote high-potential Indian ventures. Among the winners was Hyderabad-based Bioreform, recognised for its sustainable packaging solutions made from biodegradable biopolymers. RAKEZ will support Bioreform’s international growth through its start-up support ecosystem.
Reflecting on the tour, Jallad said India continues to foster one of the world’s most dynamic business landscapes and that RAKEZ offers Indian companies a competitive gateway to regional expansion. The roadshow reaffirmed strong mutual interest in joint ventures, tech partnerships and global market access through Ras Al Khaimah.
The India Roadshow marks a significant milestone in advancing UAE–India economic ties while positioning RAKEZ as a preferred partner for Indian enterprises eyeing expansion in the Middle East.
