DUBAI: A dynamic new hub for young Emirati entrepreneurs, the ‘Emirati District’, has officially opened at Dubai International Airport (DXB). This vibrant space, strategically located between Concourses B and C in Terminal 3, is expected to attract six to seven million travellers annually, providing unmatched visibility for budding Emirati businesses.

An initiative of the Federal Youth Authority in collaboration with the Fatima bint Mohamed bin Zayed Initiative (FBMI), the Emirati District is a cornerstone of the National Youth Agenda 2031. This ambitious agenda aims to position young Emiratis as global role models, expanding their reach into international markets while fostering local innovation and growth.

The Emirati District offers a launchpad for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in high-growth sectors. Entrepreneurs benefit from specialised training programmes designed to refine management skills and boost competitiveness in both domestic and global markets.

The grand opening of the Emirati District introduced four flagship projects:

1. Amadal by Afnan Bushalat: Showcasing products that embody a sense of home and heritage.

2. Mira Farms by FBMI: Empowering underprivileged communities, especially female farmers, by giving their natural produce global market access.

3. Nuwa by Abdulaziz Al-Jabri: A brand celebrating the UAE’s agricultural heritage with locally sourced, world-class ingredients.

4. From the Arab by Alyazi Almheiri: A luxury home fragrance brand modernising Arabic scents for contemporary homes.

This innovative hub not only elevates Emirati entrepreneurial talent but also reinforces the UAE’s vision of economic diversification and sustainable development. With its prime location and a clear focus on empowering youth, the Emirati District is poised to become a beacon of opportunity, creativity, and global cultural exchange.
