New Yorker Pizza expands into UAE after signing a landmark MOU with Emirati businessman Suhail Al Zarooni.

RAWALPINDI: Popular Pakistani food chain New Yorker Pizza has made a major leap in its international journey by signing a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Emirati entrepreneur Suhail Al Zarooni, marking its official entry into the United Arab Emirates market.

The MOU was signed at the brand’s Falcon Complex branch in Rawalpindi, a store already famous as Pakistan’s first all-women operated pizza outlet. The event not only highlighted the brand’s expansion goals but also its commitment to empowering women in the food and beverage sector. The initiative has drawn public praise from Pakistani celebrities such as Hira Mani and Sania Saeed.

The UAE agreement with Suhail Al Zarooni — known for backing regional business development — sets the stage for New Yorker Pizza to open its first outlets across the Emirates, tapping into the UAE’s fast-growing food service market.

Alongside its UAE plans, New Yorker Pizza has also confirmed six new franchise contracts within Pakistan, expanding beyond its current footprint in cities like Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, and Wah Cantt. With these new additions, the chain is accelerating its nationwide growth strategy.

Founded in 2012, New Yorker Pizza is widely recognised for introducing authentic New York-style pizzas to the Pakistani market. The brand is known for its signature 21-inch stuffed crust pies, which can be split into four unique flavours. Several outlets operate 24/7 and serve a diverse menu, including health-forward breakfast granola bowls.

By maintaining high standards, including 100% mozzarella and imported ingredients, New Yorker Pizza has earned strong customer loyalty. Its recent expansion moves — both domestic and international — position it as a QSR brand to watch in the Gulf and South Asian markets.
