The National Centre of Meteorology says a new weather system is affecting the country, bringing a renewed possibility of rainfall in some areas after several days of unsettled conditions.
DUBAI: The UAE could experience five more days of unsettled weather as a weather system brings renewed chances of rainfall, strong winds and fog across parts of the country.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts possible showers between Friday, October 23, and Tuesday, October 27.
Eastern, western and northern areas are expected to see convective cloud development, while wind speeds could reach 50 km/h during cloud activity.
Where Will It Rain in the UAE?
On Friday and Saturday, convective clouds could develop over eastern and western regions during the afternoon, bringing scattered showers.
From Sunday, rainfall chances will shift towards northern and eastern areas, continuing through Tuesday.
However, the forecast does not mean every emirate will experience rain.
Dubai and Abu Dhabi may remain mostly dry, while mountainous and inland areas could see isolated showers.
Strong Winds and Fog Expected
The NCM expects southeasterly winds to turn northwesterly, with speeds ranging between 10 and 25 km/h.
Gusts could reach 50 km/h during cloud activity, raising dust and reducing road visibility.
Humidity may also increase overnight, creating conditions for fog or mist in coastal and inland areas.
Winds are expected to ease slightly by Tuesday, with maximum gusts around 40 km/h.
Sea conditions will generally remain slight, occasionally becoming moderate in the Arabian Gulf.
Impact to Expect
Drivers should exercise caution during dusty conditions and early morning fog.
Residents planning outdoor activities should monitor local forecasts, particularly in mountainous areas.
Although rain remains possible, temperatures will stay relatively warm across much of the country.
The NCM continues monitoring weather developments and may issue further advisories as conditions change.
