Abu Dhabi: The UAE is aiding the healthcare needs of the Gaza Strip by sending fully equipped ambulances to the Egyptian city of Al-Arish as part of the Gallant Knight 3 operation.
The initiative addresses the growing demand for critical care in Gaza, enhancing the capabilities of the Emirati Integrated Field Hospital to serve the Palestinian people. This hospital is a key provider of comprehensive medical treatment and first aid, supporting the health and well-being of Palestinians.
The Emirati field hospital boasts a specialized medical team in paediatrics, general surgery, and intensive care. It features operating rooms equipped to conduct surgeries in various specialties like general surgery, paediatrics, and orthopedics.
Moreover, the hospital provides intensive care for both adults and children, along with specialized clinics such as internal medicine, dentistry, orthopedics, psychiatry, family medicine, and paediatrics. It also offers medical support services like X-ray, CT scan services, pharmacy, and a laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art devices for tests and examinations. These facilities enhance its ability to offer comprehensive treatment according to the highest international standards.
So far, the field hospital has treated 3575 cases, thanks to the support of organizations like the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable & Humanitarian Foundation, and the Emirates Red Crescent. These contributions are crucial in ensuring that Palestinians receive the medical care they need during challenging times.
