Emirates Red Crescent efforts benefits over 609,000 in Gaza in just one week

Rafah: As part of the UAE’s “Galant Knight 3” humanitarian operation to support the people of Gaza, the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) remains actively engaged in distributing essential aid. Between January 23rd and 30th, the ERC successfully assisted 609,314 beneficiaries, providing crucial items such as food parcels, hygiene kits, and tents.

The ERC extended its support through 17 charity kitchens, ensuring the distribution of meals to displaced individuals in Rafah, Khan Yunis, and the Central Governorate. Furthermore, the organization aided local bakeries by supplying flour to address shortages.

Initiated in November under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the “Galant Knight 3” operation reflects the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian efforts. By embodying values of solidarity and cooperation, the operation aims to provide much-needed assistance to the Palestinian people in Gaza.

TheBrewNews.com had reported earlier that an Emirati medical team is supervising the hospital, which has a capacity of more than 150 beds, as part of the “Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian operation to provide aid and humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip.

The hospital includes operating rooms equipped to perform various types of surgery, including general surgery, paediatric surgery, and vascular surgery. It also has intensive care units for adults and children, an anaesthesia department, specialised clinics that include internal medicine, dentistry, orthopedics, psychiatry, family medicine, paediatrics, and gynaecology, in addition to supportive medical services.

Furthermore, the hospital offers CT, X-ray, and pharmacy services. It is also equipped with a laboratory that houses the latest equipment needed to conduct a variety of tests and examinations, which enhances its ability to provide comprehensive care to its patients and beneficiaries in accordance with the best international standards and protocols.
