DUBAI: In a major push to improve the lives of underprivileged children, the Emirates Airline Foundation has announced it will match every donation made—regardless of currency—up to a total of US$10,000. This initiative effectively doubles the impact of every contribution, helping children in need across the globe.
The foundation, which already supports 13 community organisations and non-profits across nine countries, is stepping up efforts to provide healthcare, education, shelter, and food to disadvantaged children. This renewed drive comes as part of Emirates’ long-standing commitment to social responsibility and aligns with the UAE’s 2025 “Year of the Community” campaign, which focuses on sustainable growth and community upliftment.
Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates and Chairman of the Emirates Airline Foundation, stressed the urgent need for action. “With global challenges increasingly affecting the world’s most vulnerable communities, it is more important than ever to protect children’s basic needs. That’s why we’re doubling down on our support.”
He added that every donation is a step towards breaking the cycle of poverty and building a future where children are nourished, educated, and empowered.
Supporters can easily contribute via multiple channels including online donations, in-flight giving, bank transfers, or cheques. Every dirham or dollar donated will now go twice as far in transforming lives.
Over the past 20 years, the Emirates Airline Foundation has helped thousands of children. With this new donation-matching initiative, the airline is not just flying people—it’s lifting lives.
