DUBAI: Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum honoured three global government initiatives with the prestigious Future Fit Seal at the World Governments Summit 2026, celebrating excellence in future-ready governance models.
The awards were presented during the opening day of the summit, which runs from 3 to 5 February in Dubai. The Future Fit Seal recognises government projects that showcase innovation, data-driven impact, and readiness for emerging global challenges.
Selected from over 1,500 entries across 100+ countries, the winning initiatives include Diella, the world’s first AI-powered minister from Albania; the smart transformation of Korea’s Busan Port; and Singapore’s National Precision Medicine Programme. These projects reflect future-focused governance in sectors such as AI, precision health, and smart logistics.
Her Excellency Ohood Khalfan Al Roumi, UAE Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, said the initiative “celebrates proactive leadership” and reinforces the UAE’s global role in shaping innovative governance. She emphasised that the Seal is awarded based on measurable outcomes, sectoral impact, and strategic future alignment.
Diella, developed by the Republic of Albania, uses artificial intelligence for decision-making in finance and regulation. Korea’s Busan Port leverages blockchain, AI, and digital twin platforms to optimise maritime logistics. Singapore’s precision medicine initiative integrates genomics and health data to revolutionise early detection and targeted care.
The Future Fit Seal was first introduced by the UAE’s Government Development and the Future Office to highlight government initiatives that drive tangible results in areas such as sustainability, technology, and quality of life.
The recognition highlights the World Governments Summit’s growing role as a global forum for forward-looking solutions and innovation in public policy.
