World Cup winner Lionel Messi goes grocery shopping to local supermarket

Lionel Messi, the top player for Argentina’s national team, will play his first game for Inter Miami next week, marking his debut in the United States of America.

Messi, who won the World Cup in Qatar the previous year, had flown into Miami and appeared to have adapted to life there quite fast. Miami is noted for its sunny climate and immaculate beaches.

It might be difficult to remain incognito and, in a sense, fly under the radar when you are a well-known sporting figure since fans constantly badger you for selfies and signatures.

And much to Messi’s astonishment, he was able to virtually disappear as he and his family went food shopping in a Florida supermarket. However, not for long.

Fans started asking Messi for selfies as he and his lovely family—wife Antonela and his three sons Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro—were finishing up their shopping and heading to the checkout line.

And the legend complied.
