UAE stands in solidarity with Greece and Tunisia over wildfires

Abu Dhabi: The UAE has expressed its support for Greece in the wake of wildfires brought on by a severe heatwave that has forced thousands of people to flee their homes and resulted in the deaths of two persons in a firefighting jet crash.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the Greek government and people as well as to the families and relatives of the two victims of the aviation accident in a statement that emphasized the UAE’s support for the Hellenic Republic in these trying times.

The UAE has also offered the Republic of Tunisia its deepest sympathies and support in the wake of wildfires that caused multiple fatalities and injuries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) issued a statement expressing its deepest sympathies and compassion to the Tunisian government and people, as well as to the relatives of the victims of this tragedy. It also wished all those injured a swift recovery.
