Sultan bin Ahmed participates in SGEC shooting event

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), participated, on Monday, in a shooting event for members of the SEC, organised by the Sharjah Government Employees Club (SGEC) in cooperation with the Sharjah Police Science Academy.

Before the start of the shooting event held for members of the SEC at the academy’s smart indoor shooting range organised by SGEC, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed and the attendees listened to an explanation about the range and its high specifications that mimic the best international ranges in terms of its advanced equipment.

Police and sports events are held in the range, which witness the use of different types of weapons. The range provides more than 900 training scenarios that simulate reality, as well as the possibility of adding new scenarios to develop training in various shooting skills.

The Vice Chairman of the SEC participated in pistol shooting after the trainers provided the participants with instructions on the correct method of shooting, in addition to safety procedures, safety precautions, and sequential steps for shooting.

The event witnessed the presence of Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Ruler’s Office, Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of Department of Statistics and Community Development, Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of Districts Affairs Department, and a number of members of the SEC.
