Dubai launches work from park initiative to redefine public parks as flexible workspaces supporting productivity, wellbeing, and modern lifestyles.
DUBAI: Dubai Municipality has unveiled the work from park initiative, a forward-looking move designed to transform public parks into integrated spaces that combine productivity, leisure, and wellbeing. The work from park initiative introduces flexible work environments within green spaces, supporting evolving work patterns while enhancing the overall quality of life in the emirate.
Aligned with the Dubai 2040 Parks and Greenery Strategy and the broader Dubai Urban Plan 2040, the initiative reflects the city’s ambition to create multi-functional urban environments. It also supports the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 by encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship, and private sector collaboration.
As part of its rollout, Dubai Municipality has signed Memoranda of Cooperation with Group AMANA and Letswork to design, develop, and operate advanced workspace infrastructure across parks. The first flagship destination will open in May 2026 at Al Barsha Pond Park, featuring modular workspaces built to high sustainability standards and seamlessly integrated into the natural surroundings.
The work from park initiative targets entrepreneurs, freelancers, small businesses, and content creators by offering accessible and inspiring work environments. Facilities will include hot desks, creative studios, podcast spaces, and event areas, all supported by digital access through the Letswork platform.
Officials say the initiative leverages modular construction to ensure efficiency, flexibility, and minimal environmental impact. Off-site manufacturing and rapid on-site assembly will reduce waste and allow spaces to adapt to future needs.
Dubai Municipality emphasised that the initiative is part of a broader strategy to activate public spaces as community hubs that support economic activity and social engagement. Additional locations are expected to be introduced throughout the year, expanding the concept across the city.
