The Road to WrestleMania 38 unfolded this weekend

The historic WrestleMania 38 kicked off recently at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Dallas, Texas. As the days approached the historic event, WWE saw dramatic twists on Raw and SmackDown, with Superstars across both rosters landing their final blows before the ultimate showdown.  

On Monday Night Raw, Bianca Belair finally returned to the ring following a severe throat injury at the hands of Becky Lynch, only to face another round of assaults as Lynch attempted to chop off her hair. With a stronger resolve to reclaim the Raw Women’s Title, Belair met her breaking point in a shocking turn of events which saw her snatch the scissors from Lynch and cut off her WrestleMania opponent’s iconic hair instead.  

Meanwhile, Logan Paul and The Miz emerged with a stolen mask from Rey Mysterio’s dressing room in an attempt to rile up the WWE legend. Mysterio, alongside his son Dominik Mysterio, faced up to The Miz and swiftly took down their WrestleMania 38 opponent as they doubled up with the family’s signature ‘619’ to take the win.  

On SmackDown, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns traded jabs outside the ring as they prepared for the Biggest WrestleMania Match of All Time, with some interesting mind games at play to throw each other off their game.  

Since returning to WWE, Lesnar has been on a relentless path of destruction, with the WWE Champion’s latest appearance on SmackDown leading him to break into Roman Reigns’ dressing room and disrupt his opponent’s preparations. In retaliation, Reigns reminded Lesnar of his challenge with a warning for his opponent as he left the arena, keeping tensions at an all-time high for their bout at WrestleMania 38.   

Elsewhere, SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair made her final speech virtually ahead of her match with Ronda Rousey on Saturday night in Dallas, leaving Rousey frustrated and only able to watch on. In the evening’s Fatal 4-Way match, Sasha Banks took the victory against Rhea Ripley, Shayna Baszler and Queen Zelina ahead of the 4-Way Tag Team Match at WrestleMania 38.
