RIYADH: Saudi Arabia and the United States have officially signed a Strategic Artificial Intelligence (AI) Partnership aimed at deepening their long-term cooperation in innovation, economic development, and emerging technologies. The agreement, signed by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, marks a significant milestone in the countries’ strategic relationship.
The partnership, announced in a joint statement, is designed to accelerate development across key AI domains including advanced semiconductor supply, AI infrastructure, national talent development, and cross-border investment. Both nations have affirmed their shared commitment to using technology as a driver of prosperity, security, and economic resilience.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the initiative leverages Saudi Arabia’s strategic assets—such as land availability, energy resources and geographic location—to create AI clusters capable of serving local, regional and global markets.
