Pop icon Ely Buendia wows audiences at the Expo 2020 Dubai

DUBAI: Ely Buendia showed his fans at Expo 2020 Dubai’s Jubilee Stage why he is considered a pop icon, during his performance.

Buendia, front man, lead guitarist and songwriter of the legendary Filipino alternative rock group, Eraserheads, said, “It is always a pleasure to play for the Filipinos here. They are very appreciative. I love Dubai. It’s a great place.”

He added, “I just want to thank the crowd. I hope they had a good time and enjoyed the show.”

Eraserheads, one of the most successful Filipino bands worldwide, have been dubbed the ‘Beatles of the Philippines’.  The band brought home the Viewers’ Choice Award at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards.
