woo-hoo! and Dubai Culture launched the Wonder Windows mural in Al Quoz, turning public art into a playful, collaborative celebration of creativity.
DUBAI: Al Quoz burst into colour as Dubai Culture and woo-hoo! partnered to unveil Wonder Windows, an interactive mural installation celebrating creativity, community, and child-led expression. The public art initiative, timed with woo-hoo!’s fifth anniversary, invited children and families to paint alongside professional artists — transforming a mural into a living canvas of joyful collaboration.
Held at woo-hoo!’s vibrant outdoor space within the Al Quoz Creative Zone, the event brought together families for a morning of play, art-making, and music. Children were guided by renowned mural artists Hend Al Murid and Dina Saadi, who created the base design of the mural — which was then brought to life with the brushstrokes of young contributors.
woo-hoo! Co-Founder Sidrah Zahid shared, “This mural represents everything we believe in — creativity, confidence, and connection. Watching children co-create a public artwork reminded us how powerful it is when imagination leads.”
Emirati muralist Hend Al Murid, reflecting on her experience, said: “Seeing children engage with the mural brought it to life in new ways. It’s a reminder to draw freely and explore imagination without limits.”
Syrian/Russian artist Dina Saadi added: “The children’s interaction with the colours and symbols was heartwarming. My hope is that it inspires connection and moments of joy for everyone who walks by.”
The activation forms part of Dubai Culture’s Public Art Strategy, aimed at infusing daily urban life with artistic expression and encouraging accessible, community-driven creativity. For woo-hoo!, it also continues a mission to spark learning through hands-on experiences — from workshops to creative installations that empower children to explore their curiosity.
Families attending the event enjoyed creative stations, art zones, and a festive atmosphere that turned the mural unveiling into a neighbourhood celebration.
