Brand Dubai spotlights local entrepreneurship at ‘Proudly from Dubai Market’

Dubai: Brand Dubai, part of the Government of Dubai Media Office, organizes the ‘Proudly from Dubai Market’ at the Hatta Festival until December 31 at Leem Lake in Hatta. This market showcases 30 local businesses, with half from the Hatta community, reflecting the area’s growing entrepreneurial spirit.

Dubai’s Community Development Authority and the Hatta Traders Council collaborated to bring Hatta-based businesses to the market. The event features 16 food and beverage outlets and 14 other ventures, providing a diverse experience for visitors.

Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority, emphasized the festival’s role in making Hatta a prominent winter tourist destination. The strategic plan aims for balanced economic growth and job opportunities for residents.

The Community Development Authority actively supports Emirati family businesses through initiatives like the Hatta Festival. Their goal is to empower Hatta’s people to contribute positively to the region’s development.

Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, highlighted the market as a celebration of Dubai’s entrepreneurial spirit. It provides a platform for local businesses, including start-ups in Hatta, to showcase their products. The market offers a range of products, from clothing to locally produced honey.

The ‘Proudly From Dubai Market’ is open on weekdays from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight at Leem Lake. It is part of the ‘Proudly from Dubai’ initiative, emphasizing the success stories of businesses born and initiated in Dubai.
