Ras Al Khaimah to host  2023 WMF Mini Football World Cup

Ras Al Khaimah: For the first time in its history, the World Mini Football (WMF) World Cup is coming to the Middle East, with Ras Al Khaimah set to host the tournament commencing on October 26th.

The tournament will see 32 national teams from all over the world challenge for the honor of champions in Ras Al Khaimah. Eight groups, each made up of four teams, will compete to secure their spot in the knockout stages between the 26th – and 31st of October, before the battle for the title takes place between 1st and 4th November.

Following an opening ceremony, the UAE, as hosts, will face off against Asian counterpart India whilst defending champions Mexico play Ireland. 

Beyond the field, in line with Ras Al Khaimah’s dedication to improving the quality of life and ensuring sports accessibility for all, match tickets are offered completely free of charge, providing an opportunity for anyone to attend.

In conjunction with their motto ‘Home For Everyday Legends,’ the 2023 edition of the WMF World Cup not only offers free match tickets but also aims to highlight the game’s relatability to amateur players. It intends to showcase the importance and capabilities of talented players, elevating them to the legendary stature they rightfully deserve.

Ultimately the WMF’s goal is to ‘inspire viewers to appreciate the sport beyond the professional level and recognize the skills and talent that exists within minifootball communities.’
