UAE President receives FIFA President

Abu Dhabi: President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA, who visited the UAE for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Dubai. They met at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi to discuss the cooperation between the UAE and FIFA, focusing on organizing global sports tournaments and ways to strengthen this partnership.

The talks centered on the success factors of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup UAE 2024 Dubai, including infrastructure and collaboration between local entities and FIFA. Sheikh Mohamed emphasized the UAE’s dedication to sports as a crucial aspect of its sustainable development vision. He highlighted how such events build connections and understanding globally, especially among young people, nurturing values and encouraging competitiveness.

Infantino praised the UAE’s advanced sports infrastructure, recognizing it as an ideal host for major international sporting events. The meeting was attended by various dignitaries, including Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and officials from different sectors.
