Meanwhile, the anticipated merger of JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar is still on the horizon, promising to shake up India’s streaming market. As two of the top OTT players with a massive user base, this merger could make a new streaming giant—potentially named JioHotstar. Though official details are scarce, the idea of a unified platform is already sparking excitement.
The techie who initially registered the JioHotstar domain reportedly hoped to sell it to Reliance for the cost of his dream course at Cambridge—Rs 1 crore. Despite his claim of no copyright issues, he admitted he couldn’t take on the corporate giant legally and hinted at shutting the site down soon to dodge legal trouble.

We are Jainam and Jivika from Dubai, UAE, on a mission to spread kindness. Age is just a number when it comes to making a difference!”
With a new layout showcasing their charitable efforts and even a YouTube channel, Jainam and Jivika are now the unexpected faces of the JioHotstar domain. While the mystery thickens, all eyes are on Reliance to see how they’ll respond to this surprise.
