Dubai: Beginning on Friday, August 4, 2023, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will once again operate the marine transit line between Dubai and Sharjah via the Dubai Ferry.

The marine transportation service will operate eight trips daily (weekdays) from Monday through Thursday and six trips daily (weekends) from Friday through Sunday.

In partnership with the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, this maritime service, the first of its kind to connect Dubai with other emirates, operates a shuttle between Al Ghubaiba maritime Station in Dubai and Aquarium Marine Station in Sharjah.

In an effort to provide more mobility options, reduce traffic intensity, and utilize safe maritime transportation given the two emirates’ extensive coastal areas, Dubai and Sharjah have partnered to launch the Dubai Ferry service.

About 35 minutes are needed to go from Al Ghubaiba Station to the Sharjah Aquarium Station. There will be three morning trips during the week, two from Sharjah at 7:00 and 08:30 and one from Dubai at 07:45. There will be three trips from Dubai in the evening at 16:00, 17:30, and 19:00, and two trips from Sharjah at 16:45 and 18:15.

There will be six journeys from Friday to Sunday, three from each side beginning at noon. The trips will leave Sharjah at 14:00, 16:00, and 18:00 while they will leave Dubai at 15:00, 17:00, and 20:00.

Tickets cost 15 AED for Silver Class and 25 AED for Gold Class for a single trip, however they are free for People of Determination and kids under the age of five. Customers can use their Nol card to pay the fare at the Station’s Customers Services Desk or purchase tickets online through (https://marine.rta.ae).
