Dubai: The Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Corridor Improvement Project’s last stage is now complete. The Road and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has constructed four bridges totaling 2 km as a result of its efforts. Better infrastructure and reduced traffic are here.

The project was completed in two phases, the first of which required constructing a two-lane service road on both sides and enlarging Ras Al Khor Road from three to four lanes in each direction.

The upgrade increased the road’s capacity to 10,000 cars per hour, cutting travel time in half from 20 to 7.

Other work involves building two major bridges, the longest of which is a three-lane, 740-meter span that carries traffic between Al Khail Road and Dubai Creek Harbour heading east, with a capacity of around 7,500 cars per hour.

The second bridge, which carries traffic from Dubai Creek Harbour to Ras Al Khor – Hatta Road, has two lanes, gradients that exceed 990 meters, and it can support roughly 3,100 vehicles per hour.

Furthermore, in order to service the newly constructed regions and improve traffic flow from the intersection of Nadd Al Hamar Road and Ras Al Khor Road, a new 5 km road with four lanes in each direction was built, along with entry and exit points.

With the completion of the second and final phase, a new 988-meter-long two-lane bridge has increased the capacity of the intersection of Nadd Al Hamar Road and Ras Al Khor Road.

For oncoming traffic from Nadd Al Hamar Road heading toward Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road, the bridge offers a free left turn. Building a new, 115-meter-long, two-lane bridge to accommodate traffic coming from Ras Al Khor Road in the direction of Dubai-Al Ain Road is another excellent upgrade.

This is also connected by a 368-meter-long, two-lane underpass that allows vehicles entering from Ras Al Khor Road and traveling toward Nadd Al Hamar to make a right turn.

Residents of The Lagoons, Dubai Creek, Meydan Horizon, Ras Al Khor, Al Wasl, and Nadd Al Hamar Complex are sure to approve of the Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Corridor Improvement Project.
