Dubai authorities have announced the opening of three new beaches for night swimming. Tourists and residents can swim at any time, including after sunset, which is normally when lifeguards blow their whistles to signal the end of the swimming season.

The Dubai Municipality announced the construction of 800-metre night-swimming beaches in Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, and Umm Suqeim 1. They have brilliant lighting systems that assist lifeguards in monitoring the swimmers. Messages displayed on electronic screens raise beachgoers’ safety awareness.

To ensure the greatest safety standards, the beaches feature qualified lifeguards who use cutting-edge rescue and emergency tools. The municipality stated that night swimming hours at the beaches will run from sunset to daybreak.

The Dubai Municipality has asked beachgoers to swim only in specified places at night and to avoid swimming in other areas. The town emphasized the significance of following beach laws and regulations, asking parents and guardians to keep an eye on their children at all times. Beachgoers have also been instructed to follow the directions of lifeguards, in addition to maintaining the highest possible cleanliness.

Dawoud Al Hajri, director-general of Dubai Municipality, said: “The new facilities will further raise Dubai’s status as a beach tourism destination. Dubai Municipality will continue to develop the emirate’s picturesque beaches into some of the city’s most compelling outdoor attractions.

“The emirate’s wide diversity of beaches, each with its own unique charm, provide people the opportunity to enjoy vibrant seaside dining and diverse activities. The beaches are key attractions that form part of Dubai’s unique tourism, lifestyle and leisure proposition for residents and visitors.”
