According to Twitter owner and billionaire Elon Musk, the company will change its recognizable blue bird logo.

Musk announced the corporation will “bid adieu” to the instantly recognizable brand in a post on the social networking platform.

He also added that a new logo could be posted globally before the end of the day.

Twitter’s new logo

Musk stated in an early-morning tweet on Sunday: “If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we’ll make it go live worldwide tomorrow.”

When asked on the platform if the business will change the logo, he confirmed it would, adding, “It should have been done a long time ago.”

The world’s richest man has opted to announce numerous decisions publicly on his social media channels since he purchased the social media platform.

A cartoon dog temporarily took the place of the blue bird logo in April, but dropping the blue bird completely would be yet another unexpected turn in Musk’s frequently erratic reign.

Twitter describes the blue bird logo as “our most recognizable asset” on its own website.

The billionaire updated his social media page with an animated image of a glittering letter X.

Since Musk’s ownership started in October of last year, the company’s official business name is now X Corp.
