Alfred Holdings expansion adds CreditMarket.ae and HolidayMarket.ae to its UAE portfolio, taking the InsuranceMarket.ae group into financial services and travel.

DUBAI: Alfred Holdings expansion is taking the UAE investment group behind InsuranceMarket.ae into two major consumer sectors with the launch of CreditMarket.ae and HolidayMarket.ae, new businesses focused on financial services and travel.

The two wholly owned platforms broaden a portfolio that already includes InsuranceMarket.ae and the myAlfred consumer technology and rewards app. Across its businesses, Alfred Holdings employs more than 700 people and serves over 200,000 active customers.

CreditMarket.ae has been introduced as a financial marketplace where UAE consumers can explore credit cards, personal loans, car loans, mortgages, bank accounts and business banking products. Led by General Manager Shadab Ahamed, the platform works with banks, financial institutions and fintech companies across conventional and Islamic finance.

Technology will play a significant role in helping customers navigate products and eligibility, while financial advisers will remain available when human assistance is required.

HolidayMarket.ae, meanwhile, extends the group into travel. Led by General Manager Rajesh Khare, the business offers holiday packages, UAE staycations, visa services, travel agent services, MICE and group bookings. Its network covers hotels, airlines, destinations and travel experiences.

The Alfred Holdings expansion also reflects the group’s wider push towards technology-led personalisation. The company says artificial intelligence can make financial product discovery and eligibility more intelligent while helping travellers navigate a vast range of destinations and experiences. Human advisers will continue to support customers where specialist knowledge is valuable.

Consumers can access the new businesses through their respective platforms as well as through myAlfred, which acts as the group’s consumer super app. The app allows users to discover businesses across the ecosystem while earning and redeeming AlfredCoins. Each portfolio business continues to operate with its own leadership and market proposition.

Founder and Chairman Avinash Babur said the growth of InsuranceMarket.ae gave the company confidence to explore other large consumer categories. Alfred Holdings has also indicated that it intends to continue investing across consumer sectors and markets in the GCC.

For UAE consumers, the Alfred Holdings expansion means a familiar digital business group is now targeting more everyday decisions beyond insurance, from comparing financial products to planning holidays.

Impact to expect

The launches could increase competition in the UAE’s digital finance and travel marketplace, giving consumers another technology-led route for comparing financial products and organising travel while supporting Alfred Holdings’ wider GCC growth strategy.
