UAE aid ship departs Larnaca Port for Gaza Strip with new shipment

Abu Dhabi: The UAE, in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), has announced the dispatch of a new aid ship to the Gaza Strip. This shipment, carrying 1,166 tonnes of essential food supplies, underscores the ongoing commitment to supporting the people of Gaza.

Organized approximately two weeks after a previous consignment, this aid effort is a result of joint efforts involving the USA, Cyprus, the United Nations, and various international donors including the European Union. Departing from Larnaca Port in Cyprus, the ship is headed to the Port of Ashdod before entering the Gaza Strip through the Beit Hanoun crossing, facilitated by American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA).

The UAE’s collaboration with international partners aims to ensure the smooth flow, arrival, and distribution of aid to address the critical humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
